Master Astrophysique Lyon-Montpellier

Course Details

Objectives : The master offers a complete and innovative training in astrophysics, in the form of a course common to the Master of Physics of the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1 and to the Master in Fundamental Physics and Applications of the University of Montpellier. The first year is specific to each master and provides advanced knowledge in fundamental physics as well as a beginning of specialization in astrophysics. The second year is common to both sites and is entirely dedicated to astrophysics. Its content largely covers the theoretical and observational aspects of modern astrophysics, also addressing instrumentation and numerical simulations.

Degree Level (EU) : 7 - (EQC level or equivalent)

Admission requirements : The Master of Physics is accessible to all students holding a Bachelor of Science and Technology.

Acquired skills during the training : By the end of the Master, students will have acquired theoretical and practical skills in the field of astrophysics, preparing mainly for a doctoral pursuit. It is also possible to integrate the business world at the bac + 5 level.
