Objectives : New training.
The Master 2 GIS is now the specialty Mapping Water-Geomatics
(Master GEOGRAM Department of Geography, University of Orléans).
MASTER 2 enriched GIS skills of academics and professionals working in the territories of the water.
In the second half of the first year of the Master, the specialty-Water Mapping Geomatics aims to train specialists capable of responding to both issues of territorial water and current technological developments and market needs employment in the fields of geomatics and water. This specialty is also open in the second year of Master in 2012.
Its purpose is twofold:
- Training of geographers with strong methodological skills to address current issues in the field of water and the environment more generally: applications to the issues of territorial management of water; support of geomatics research on inland Water (still water and running water).
- Geomatics versatile form primarily interested in organizing, processing, management of geographic data through mapping, remote sensing, spatial analysis and GIS.

Concerned public : - Students for initial
- For continuing education, those engaged in the workforce, employees, job seekers who want to:
. resumption of university studies
. to validate acquired experience (VAE) for all or part of a degree

Level of training : I

Admission requirements : For entering the first year students with
- A degree in geography, planning statement and / or environmental
- Or a professional license management,
- Or another degree in social sciences, license life sciences, earth sciences (conditional)
- Or other equivalent training, including foreign
- And finally validation of (VA) or acquired experience (VAE)

For entering the second year students with
- A Master of Geography, Planning mention and / or environmental
- Master one or another social science, license life sciences, earth sciences (conditional)
- Or other equivalent training, including foreign
- And finally validation of (VA) or acquired experience (VAE) ..
