Master 2 Informatique Parcours Informatique Décisionnelle (ID)

Course Details

Objectives : The standard “Decisional Computing” course targets professions in the design, analysis and exploitation of data and computer systems for decision support and optimization for large models. The objective is to train future professional engineer-level executives and future researchers/teacher-researchers with solid skills in IT and decision support with implementation in various major sectors of activity such as finance, logistics, transportation and resource optimization. The two orientations OPAL and SID correspond to two facets of business intelligence.

The two orientations correspond to two facets of business intelligence and are differentiated by the set of compulsory disciplinary courses, specific to each orientation. The optional disciplinary courses, presenting other aspects of business intelligence, are however shared by the two orientations. Openness to learning requires a minimum of 400 hours of teaching per year.

“Optimization and Algorithms (OPAL)” orientation

Degree Level (EU) : 7 - (EQC level or equivalent)

Acquired skills during the training :
- mastery of IT techniques and technologies to design, develop and operate mass data management systems (datawarehouse, datamart, ERP, ETL, etc.),
- good knowledge of mathematical and computer tools for modeling, analysis and problem solving related to decision sciences,
- good knowledge of algorithms, methods and optimization and decision support software,
- mastery of algorithm performance analysis and evaluation tools.
