Bachelor en aéronautique IPSA

Course Details

Objectives : IPSA's 3-year Bachelor's degree in aeronautics trains students for jobs in the air, space and sustainable mobility sectors, in rapidly developing positions such as assistant engineers, network and telecoms technicians, database analysts, cyber security, data architecture, and also airport jobs.
This course is designed for people who want to be part of the evolution of this industrial sector, and contribute to the creation of tomorrow's transport.

Public concerned : IPSA's Aeronautics Bachelor's degree enables students to participate in and direct work related to the design and deployment of autonomous systems, exploiting the latest advances in automation, mechatronics, artificial intelligence, big data analysis, digitisation, detection, optimisation, information technology and systems engineering.

Autonomous systems are making their way into our working, urban and domestic environments. Imagine: fleets of autonomous robots in manufacturing facilities, advanced warehouse logistics solutions, unmanned cargo ships, interconnected smart appliances and networks, or multiple drone applications.

IPSA's Bachelor of Aeronautics programme, designed in collaboration with companies in the sector, prepares students to play an active part in tomorrow's innovations.

Degree Level (EU) : 6 - (EQC level or equivalent)

Admission requirements : High School degree

Prerequisites : IPSA's Bachelor of Aeronautics programme is aimed at students in their final year of secondary school (Terminale Générale) with scientific or STI2D specialisations, Bac+1 and Bac+2 students who want to enter the air and space industry, as well as related professions, by enrolling in a specialist grande école. The programme can be taken in the 1st year after Bac, in the 2nd year after Bac +1 and in the 3rd year after Bac +2.

Acquired skills during the training : On-board computing, artificial intelligence and data science are driving the innovations that are revolutionising all aspects of our mobility and the related professions.
With these transformations taking environmental issues into account, the traditional industry is increasingly in need of multi-skilled professionals, trained in 3 years after the baccalaureate, who will have oriented themselves towards specialisations adapted to these new challenges of sustainable mobility.

2 SPECIALISATIONS

DRONES: The aim of the Drones specialisation is to develop the design of autonomous systems, mainly in the field of automation. Autonomous systems and drones are currently expanding rapidly, and there are already many fields of application, which are set to diversify.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI): The AI specialisation enables students to master the techniques of collecting and processing data, storing it and exploiting it using artificial intelligence. These techniques are applied to the requirements of the aeronautics sector.

Targeted careers : IPSA's 3-year Bachelor's course is especially recommended for students who want to enter the world of work quickly. The Bachelor's degree enables students to choose a specialisation immediately after their A-levels, in professions that are currently undergoing rapid development, with promising job opportunities.

All IPSA courses are run in direct collaboration with companies in the aeronautics sector, to ensure that they meet their exact requirements.

The IPSA Bachelor's degree also offers the opportunity to pursue a second cycle in an engineering school, or an MS (Masters of Science) or MBA course.

Duration and terms : 3 years

Notes : THREE ADDITIONAL TRAINING OPTIONS DURING THE BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN AERONAUTICS

To acquire dual skills, students can choose to follow one of the 3 additional training options on offer:

UAV pilot training (only for students specialising in UAVs)
EPITA AI Certificate (only for students specialising in AI)
Pilot training with AEROPYRENEES (open to students in both specialisations)

Partnerships with national organisations : Aéropyrénées, EPITA

International partnerships : Technical University of Ostrava, Kaunas University of Technology, Riga Technical University
