Ingénieur Généraliste ENSTA

Course Details

Objectives : The ENSTA general engineering program combines mathematics, mechanics, energy, digital sciences, and humanities (languages, economics, sports, etc.).
Taught during the first year, the core curriculum aims to provide future engineers with the scientific background necessary to understand the scientific and technological developments they will encounter. Emphasizing scientific openness, modeling, problem-solving methodologies, and mastery of certain fundamental tools, it covers all the core disciplines of engineering.

From the second year onward, students specialize in one of three main disciplinary fields: applied mathematics, mechanical engineering, or digital sciences. They also complete an individual research project in a laboratory.

The third-year specialization program is dedicated to advanced courses focused on industrial applications. It includes 18 tracks combined with 3 tracks. Many third-year courses lead to projects based on real-world problems proposed by professionals.

Degree Level (EU) : 7 - (EQC level or equivalent)

Admission requirements : Students from scientific preparatory classes, via the Mines-Ponts joint entrance exam. A few admitted based on university qualifications (GEI Univ entrance exam) after a Bachelor's degree (L3): in the 1st year of the program, after a Master's degree (M1): in the 2nd year of the program.
