MERIT - Master of Sciences in Research on Information and Communication

Course Details

Objectives : MERIT is a research oriented Master programme within the guideness of the Bologna process whose scope if information technologies and applications.
with a special focus on communication.
MERIT is intended to be a natural entrance gate to research. MERIT graduates are expected to access PhD programs or R&D positions in industry or government.
A large part of the credits earned in MERIT can be used to partially fulfil the requirements to obtain the PhD degrees at the four partner universities involved in the MERIT.

Public concerned : Bachelor degree in Engineering of Science

Admission requirements : Study and academic merits.
Motivation and Recommendation.
Recognized language skills knowledge of English.
40 positions.

Prerequisites : Bachelor degree in Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Geology, Engineering, Technical Engineering in aeronautics.

Duration and terms : 2 years ( 120 ECTS )

Notes : MERIT involves four top-level European institutions (Politecnico di Torino, Univ. Cath. de Louvain, Univ. of Karlsruhe, Univ. Polit. de Catalunya and Ecole Polit. Fédérale de Lausanne) with strong ongoing research.

MERIT is offered either as an international programme in which students have to take two 1-year terms at two different partner universities to complete a 2-year Master programme, or as a 2-year National programme in one of the four partner universities. International MERIT students will get a broad view of IT thanks to the mobility requirements.
