Master Universitaire Officiel en Systèmes Intelligents en Energie et Transport (Spécialité Smart Cities)

Course Details

Objectives : The new official University Master in Intelligent Systems in Energy and Transport (MSIET) (Res. 10574, BOE 18/10/2014) is a joint initiative of the University of Seville and the University of Malaga, framed in the Andalusian Campus of International Excellence Tech, which aims to meet the need for highly qualified technicians in certain fields related to the application of ICT to sectors such as Energy, Environment or Transport.

Only official diplomas are verified by a quality and accreditation agency (ANECA, AGAE or other recognized), published in the Official State Gazette, and registered in the RUCT (Register of Universities, Centers and Titles).

The study plan consists of 90 ECTS credits, taught over 3 semesters, structured around two specialties: Smart Cities (at the University of Seville) and Mechanics and Energy (University of Malaga). In both specialties, you can choose between a career orientation course (with internships in a company) or an introduction to research (for students interested in a doctorate).

The MSIET Master is intended for graduates of scientific and technical fields, in particular graduates, engineers and technical engineers from the families of industrial engineering and information and communication technologies.

Degree Level (EU) : 7 - (EQC level or equivalent)

Admission requirements : 90 ects

Prerequisites : The recommended entry profile corresponds to that of graduates of scientific and technical fields, in particular engineers and technical engineers.

More precisely, the master's degree, in the Smart Cities specialty, is a natural extension of the studies of:

Diploma in Industrial Electronics Engineering
Degree in Electrical Engineering
Mechanical engineering degree
Computer Engineering Degrees
Telecommunications Engineering Degrees
Industrial technologies diplomas
All students of previous diplomas will have access to the master without additional specific training.

Duration and terms : The MSIET Master is attached to the International Higher School of the University of Seville (formerly the International Center) and will be taught at the Higher Polytechnic School, located in Virgen de África street nº 7 in Seville, 100 m from the station of metro Princes Parking.

Face-to-face activities will take place in the afternoon (5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.), Monday to Thursday for a period of 20 weeks (10 weeks per semester). In addition, the subjects will have scheduled academic activities that the student can perform independently or in groups.
