Master en ingénierie des télécommunications (EUR-ACE®) / Master in Telecommunications Engineering (EUR-ACE®)

Course Details

Objectives : The Master in Telecommunications Engineering confers the necessary skills to exercise the regulated profession of telecommunications engineer (in accordance with the provisions of Royal Decree 861/2010 and Ministerial Decree CIN / 355/2009), which allows them to exercise multiple activities in the telecommunications sector. The diploma offers advanced training in Telecommunications Engineering, mainly oriented towards professional training, possibly favoring initiation into research tasks. The training acquired allows them to plan, calculate and design products, processes, services and installations in all areas of Telecommunications Engineering, respecting the regulations in force and guaranteeing the quality of service. Throughout the Master, graduates will have acquired skills in management and direction of engineering projects and specialized training in the most current aspects of characteristic fields of telecommunications engineering, such as:

Radiocommunication systems: radiocommunication devices, mobile communications, satellite and access networks, and radionavigation and positioning systems.
Theory and signal processing in multimedia and communications: information theory for communications, advanced signal processing for multimedia.
Telematic networks and services: planning and management of Internet networks, technologies and services.
Electronic systems and devices: integrated electronic systems, sensors and actuators, control technology.
The master offers different student exit profiles:

Initiation into professional experience, if the student carries out external internships in a company in the sector, and develops a master's thesis (TFM) with results of professional interest.
Initiation to the research experience, if the student follows a specialized training in research, and carries out a TFM with results of scientific interest. This option allows direct access to the PhD program in Computer Engineering and Telecommunications at the Autonomous University of Madrid. Since 2011, this program has received the Mention of Excellence from the Ministry of Education (MEE2011-0074).
Reinforcement of mobility, if the student follows the TFM as part of mobility programs in one of the national and foreign universities or research centers with which exchange agreements have been concluded.
